Founded in 1991 by Bonnie & Frank Cunniffe
Whipstick Farm was originally founded in 1991 by Bonnie and Frank Cunniffe out of South Salem, New York. Over the past 30+ years, the Cunniffe family has grown the business to involve hunters, jumpers and equitation with bases in South Salem and Wellington, Florida.
“I have ridden with the Cunniffes at Whipstick Farm for over 30 years. Over this time, I have learned a great deal about horses, but more importantly what it means to work and train as a family. They are the most honest, hardworking, and upstanding people I know. I am lucky enough to call them my family and to be considered a part of theirs.”

“Frank Cunniffe has been an integral owner of one of my top horses, Skara Glen’s Machu Picchu, for the past several years. He understands the sport and provides the utmost encouragement. On top of this, I have been fortunate enough to stable with Whipstick Farm at both facilities which offer top of the line amenities. Both personally and professionally, it is a great spot to train and find top horses. I can only hope my partnership with them continues for many years to come.”
